Custom Spiral Welded Steel Pipe Manufacturing

EFTCG Steel. We manufacture industrial pipes in the spiral welded steel pipe group. Spiral welded steel pipes are produced in our Adana facility in accordance with the standards for large-scale applications. It offers a wide range of custom fabrication and fittings in addition to steel pipe fabrication. Spiral welded steel pipe is generally used in oil and gas installations, water pipelines, pipe networks, steel structures.

Coal Tar Enamel And Bitumen Coating

Coal Tar Enamel And Bitumen Coating

Following the sandblasting process, primer is applied to the pipe surface, which ensures adhesion between the surface and the coating. The centrifuge method is used inside the pipe and the winding method is used outside. Glass fiber is warmly impregnated with bitumen or coal-tar enamel and wrapped around the pipe.

While the pipes with the outer coating of bitumen are covered with lime, a protective layer of rock shield is wrapped over the pipes covered with coal-tar. Bitumen and Coal-tar Enamel coatings are generally preferred for exterior coatings of drinking water lines due to their low cost.

Pipe Polyethylene Coating

Pipe Polyethylene Coating

We provide services in pipe polyethylene coating.

1.  Oil, rust, dirt, etc. on the pipe surface. Sandblasting is done to remove substances such as such and to obtain suitable roughness.

2.  Sandblasted Pipes are heated up to 200°C.

3.  Molten powder epoxy paint, which provides corrosion resistance, is applied to the heated pipe surface electrostatically by means of special paints and guns.

4. In  order to ensure the adhesion between the powder epoxy paint and the polyethylene layer, the adhesive film layer obtained by the extrusion method is wrapped on the pipe surface. Pressure is applied on the wrapped adhesive film layer by means of silicone rollers.

5.  The polyethylene layer obtained by the extrusion method is wrapped on the rotating pipe and pressed with a silicone roller.

6. When the polyethylene layer coating process is finished, water is sprayed to cool the pipe surface and the pipe temperature is reduced to 60°C.

Pipe Epoxy Coating

Pipe Epoxy Coating

Pipe epoxy coating is applied to the cleaned and suitable rough surface by airless spraying method after sandblasting the inner or outer surfaces of the pipe in accordance with customer requests and standards.

While solvent-free epoxy is generally preferred in drinking water projects, flow coat epoxy is applied in natural gas pipes and coal-tar epoxy or glass flake epoxy is applied in pile pipes.

Pipe connection details

Welded Connection:
It is the most commonly used connection type in steel pipes. The pipes are shipped with a special machine with the welding mouth opened in accordance with the standard.

Spherically Welded Connection:
Allows rotation to line up to 10° without using special steel parts. It is welded from the outside after it is mounted in accordance with the angle.

Cylindrical Welded Connection:
It is especially used for pipes covered with concrete inside. It is welded externally after assembly.

Flanged Connection:
After the specially manufactured flanges are welded to the pipe ends, the flanges are connected with bolts.
